The French Sophie
Sophie Suzanne (Ripoll) Fung is a French-American teacher, writer, and creative professional facilitating authentic French-American information and communication.
She is certified as a teacher by the State of California in French (All grades, all ages, including College), and Multiple Subjects (K-12) with English Learners' Authorization.
In August 2024 Sophie was granted the California Studio Teacher/Welfare Worker Permit for children performers.
Over the decades, Sophie has worked as a teacher and a contributing writer for world-renowned schools and online publications in France (Paris) and the US (NY/LA). She also has extensive experience in creative writing, editing, translating, interpreting, dubbing, and other media services, particularly for television journalists.
The French Sophie earned two Master's Degrees in Education: one in the Didactics of French as a Foreign & Second Language from Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle, and one in Bilingual Education from New York University.
