Sophie Suzanne (Ripoll) Fung is a French-American teacher, writer, and creative professional facilitating authentic French-American information and communication. 

She is certified by the State of California in the Teaching of French (All grades, all ages, including College), and Multiple Subjects with English Learners Authorization.  

Moreover, Sophie is a certified California Studio Teacher/Welfare Worker for children performers in the entertainment industry, including TV, film, and music.

Over the decades, Sophie has worked as a teacher and a contributing writer for world-renowned schools and online publications in France (Paris) and the US (NY/LA). She also has extensive experience in creative writing, editing, translating, interpreting, dubbing, and other media services, particularly for television journalists.  

The French Sophie® is also a registered French brand of creative design, promoting socialization around the French language with her creations Étincelles de Conversation (Conversation Sparks).

Sophie has earned a Bachelor’s degree in the Didactics of French as a Foreign/Second Language from Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle, and a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education from New York University.
